Big difference in what's being reported between EX and the other 2. My EX VS 3.0 is remarkably higher, just like my FICOs, but I know why. Not one iota of difference in reported accounts, payment history on those accounts, etc. My TU and EQ credit files are absolutely identical. I will totally admit I've spent very little time researching VS, but I can tell you from my own experience that something's up here. info, but the part about the algorithm differing from bureau to burea with VS is not true. With VantageScore, any variation in credit scores that consumers contemporaneously obtain from the three CRCs will be due solely to variations in the contents of the consumers’ credit files." Other conventional models require custom programming for each CRC database – a process which introduces additional variation in score results. VantageScore models are the only true tri-bureau credit scoring models which use the same algorithm for all three national credit reporting companies (CRCs), Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. " The Same Model is Used Across All Bureaus Good info, but the part about the algorithm differing from bureau to burea with VS is not true. It's actually a pretty big fluke if they're all the same. Differences between the 3 are very common. It's completely normal for you to have different scores across the 3 bureaus depending on if your different creditors report to all 3 CRAs or not, and each CRA has their own proprietary algorithms for both VS and FICO models. Chase Credit Journey provides VantageScore 3.0 for Experian. I did sign up for boost, what's the down side Karma provides VantageScore 3.0 scores for both Transunion and Equifax. Urgent Care facilities can treat a variety of illnesses and conditions without the long wait times and hefty costs that come with visiting the Emergency Room (ER). Medical News Today has strict sourcing guidelines and draws only from peer-reviewed studies, academic research institutions, and medical journals and associations. If an individual is an outpatient, Part B covers the services. The ER should confirm during the visit if they are providing treatment on an inpatient basis. Staying overnight in the ER does not automatically qualify someone as an inpatient. However, Part B pays for doctor’s services. What pays: Part A pays for the hospital stay and the services received when the individual was an outpatient. Scenario: Someone is in the ER, and a doctor writes an order to admit them to the hospital. However, Part B pays for the doctor’s services while in the hospital. What pays: Part A covers the inpatient hospital stay and the services the person received in the 3 days before the admission. The doctor keeps the individual at the hospital under observation, then admits them to the hospital the next day. Scenario: A person goes to the hospital for severe head pain. This could occur if the individual called them in a non-emergency situation. The ambulance service provides a notice called an Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage if they do not believe Medicare provides coverage. It may then transport the individual to another appropriate facility, depending on their symptoms. What pays: Medicare Part B typically covers ambulance transport to a medical facility. Scenario: An ambulance takes a person to the ER. The coverage has a lifetime limit of $50,000. However, a requirement for this coverage is that emergency care must begin during the first 60 days of a person’s trip. This area of coverage is broader than the limited coverage of original Medicare and Medicare Advantage. In addition, some Medigap plans offer coverage of foreign ER visits. Medigap pays some of the out-of-pocket costs of Medicare parts A and B, including those for emergency room visits. A person with a Medicare Advantage plan is not eligible to enroll in Medigap. You can go as crazy as you please ! I think my layouts are pretty much saturated and maxed out, they are running on first generation iPad and iPad mini. The advantage of Pitch Bend is the higher granularity of the value that can be sent. Pitch Bend: Pitch bend has less properties, there is only 1 pitch bend allowed per midi channel – so in total 16 per midi port. This is a feature important to remember when troubleshooting midi issues. On regular musical instruments, note values are sent in pairs, Note On / Note Off, to terminate the musical instrument from playing. Note (On/Off): Midi note basically works the same as CC, only that the CC is replaced with a musical note value, that is represented as values from 0 – 127. Each CC # can be set to a value, also ranging from 0 – 127 There are 127 possible Control Messages that can be assigned to any channel. Midi CC is further divided into CC numbers. No each midi data package can be sent in a multitude of ways, its of some significance which one we choose.ĬC (Control Change): Control Change is mainly used in midi like a status message, or to switch modes of devices. Here are the basic properties one needs to know about Midi. Midi is designed to be daisy changed over multiple devices, therefore it has a data structure that allows each device to operate on its own channel. Midi is a old protocol from the 80s, it was mainly developed to link musical instruments to one another, hence the parameters and structures are largely of musical nature. ![]() In return some elements have the ability to receive Midi commands, to change color etc., this can be used to create indicator lights, or change button colors when activated.Ī quick primer of Midi. ![]() TouchOSC is an inexpensive app that allows us to create touch control surfaces with various control elements, fader’s, encoders, buttons.Įach element can be assigned a Midi function, which is triggered when activated. I exchanged for a different color boot to go up a size but sadly these just do not work for me - the next size up was a little big on my foot but still dug in to the back of my ankle so much so that I had indentations and what looked like bruising already from just standing in them. Just take that power from a dedicated wall-wart and use its safety-required mains-isolation to also provide your ground isolation. If you're only using the USB for power, then that doesn't really help you because it requires a separate supply anyway for the circuit side. (and a separate supply for each side of course) They're stupidly expensive to buy as a completed module with all the relevant connectors and a case, but the chip itself is reasonable and only requires a handful of passives. Here's what Mouser has, and I'm sure everyone else has them too. If you're using the USB for data, then I think the cheapest way to do it is to put a USB isolator just behind your USB connector. It's not as effective as isolating the supply voltage, though, and you'll need an in-amp with good CMRR. I've done this in the past with an amplifier that I powered from the 12V supply of my computer. If a DC/DC converter that can handle your entire amp's power is too expensive, you can alternatively place a resistor (1k or so, plus maybe an inductor / bead) in the ground line of the audio connection and use an instrumentation amplifier to recover the difference signal between the audio ground connection (at the other side of the resistor) and the audio signal lines. Depending on the power requirements, this might be a little expensive, however. ![]() Your entire circuit is powered from an isolated source then and there can't be any ground loops anymore. Given that your circuit doesn't communicate with the laptop via USB, there's no need for a digital isolator: Just place an isolated 5V DC/DC converter in the 5V power path right after the USB connector. ![]() Simulate this circuit – Schematic created using CircuitLab How is this normally done? I'm looking for a simple solution without overflowing the board with too many new components. I have used optocoupler and dc-dc isolators before, but I'm not sure how I should connect them in this context. My question is, how can I implement a ground loop isolator for this application? I understand that a switch for lifting the ground on one side could be enough, but I want to find a solution that doesn't need a manual switch. The ferrite beads I use to separate digital devices from analogue (one side of the board is all analogue, the other digital, the ferrites go in between). The schematics below show how I'm powering the circuit. Otherwise, it works fine (like when transmitting audio from a phone and powering it from a power bank). When receiving USB power and receiving audio from a laptop, there is a ground loop. I'm working on an audio interface that utilises a microcontroller and a CS42448 audio codec. |
